Last night I decided to capture some portraits, of myself, because I'm the biggest fan of snow in my family. :D I had some ideas in my mind and I came up with this photo. My sister took this photo of me, I prepared everything for her, her job was just to take photo.
If you wondered what equipment did I used, let me tell you. :D
That's all, nothing special, probably 70% of photographers have this in their equipment. It's nothing too expensive but it gives great results.
And let me tell you how I took these photos. First I positioned tripod with external flash behind me, around 1,5m behind me. Second thing I've done was placing my led light in front of me, same, around 1,5m in front of me. Remote trigger was talking to camera and flas, it was set to M (manual flash power) and power was 1/1, that means full flash power so it can isolate every single snow flake. Camera settings were like this, ISO400, Shutter speed 1/60 to 1/100 and aperture 1.8 to 2.2. After that you are ready to take portraits like I did.
Second photo was taken without led light, everything else is same.
I took just several of them, because it was cold and windy. Coldness drained batteries pretty fast of my flash and trigger and I didn't had any replacement. :(
