There is one thing in macro photography that will give you best results with minimal effort, that's waking up early when every insect is slowed down that gives you advantage of making good composition. At that point of time they don't want to run away from you. There is one more thing, if you are not morning person, after Summer rains when rainbow comes they come outside like it's morning, you got about hour to work with them until they don't get more sensitive to environment. I was taking photos mostly after rain, because I don't like waking up early in the morning. :D
I suggest you to try it yourselves, you will see that everything that I told you about that it's true. Take advantage of that, make great macro photos. :D
