Yep, you heard me, I like taking photos of them but don't like standing above stormy sky. I love seeing my camera capturing these lightning strikes because every time is different. You can't get exact photo as previous. I remember time when I was photographing lightning and it was above me, when I saw strong lightning strike I run away to my house and didn't go out. I thought it was just beside me when it struck, but everything was fine.
I also remember that I saw lightning strike in my house, I guess it electrical strike that went into our house because there is something called lightning ball that can go inside your house and just bounce around. That's scary!
Anyways, as scary they sound they look beautiful. You can't compose photo when you're taking these kind of photos because you can't know where will hit, you have some direction but it's not perfect. Sometimes you can get well composed photo but that's not common thing.
