There are situations when the best way to finish a hectic week is to organize a comfortable ritual right in your house. And it is not necessary to make a big celebration, on the contrary, there is some special magic in organizing a cozy corner for one person only.
I have chosen to prepare a couple of comfortable items – a cold brew, some fresh flowers, and a pen to note all the thoughts that were wandering around. The following photos are the embodiment of a comfortable ritual.
Looking at the first photo, the viewer sees the image full of coziness, intimacy, and even some nostalgic feeling. The dark wooden table has got a tall bottle of amber beverage.
In addition to the bottle of drink, there is a poured glass of beer with golden color and a smaller shot glass fully filled with the amber liquid. Two elegant roses with deep red color are positioned in the foreground, and their soft petals perfectly contrast with the cold glass and the dark metallic surface of an open fountain pen.
The second image provides a little more height for the shot, making it clear just how charming the composition is. At this angle, the depth of color of the roses contrasts vividly with the dark wood of the table, and the golden amber drinks appear very appetizing in the soft light from above.
Observing the pen by the glasses makes one think about all the letters, diary entries, and creative ideas that suddenly come to mind once we give ourselves permission to simply sit in silence.
This whole process of taking the photos was a nice reminder that we don’t necessarily need any particular occasion to set out the fine glassware or buy ourselves some flowers.
Preparing such a cozy place for our thoughts, even just for an hour in the evening, is a kind of self-love gesture. I hope these pictures will inspire you to pour yourself a cold drink, find a comfortable spot to sit and just let your thoughts flow.
