No worries, I saw this is just your second post on Hive 😇 All is good, and you answered me - that's cool!
Let's see how can I help you, ok? We have all been new once, I was kind of lost in the beginning too, but other people and conversation with them helped me to learn and keep on. Basically, that's the first thing that can help you, meeting others and engaging with them.

What frontend do you use for Hive? (I use PeakD) So, for example for responding to the comments on our posts, we can simply open the post and down, in the comment section, on the comments there is an option reply. Or, if you are on your profile, you check the notifications and select the comment that you want to respond to. Also, there is a section "replies" which shows you the comments you have received, so again select the comment you want to respond to.

But, let's try another thing too. There are communities, like you have chosen Black and White community for this post. Excellent, it's always good to choose some of the niche communities where your post would fit. It's then easier that like-minded people will start to engage with you, or you with them checking out the feed of the community. There is a whole list of communities, I will pass that link to you later, ok? Easier to start with the stuff you like and are your niche :)

Following other people you have talked to or you find their content interesting for you will also help you get in touch with others and make that bond stronger. You can see in your following feed then the posts they publish. But now I am talking too much, and I don't want you getting the impression that Hiving seems complicated. 😉 (Well, in the beginning maybe it seems indeed, but you will get it right, as you said in your post, the attitude is what count 😇)
