Crypto aiding Iranian people affected by floods

Crypto can be used for noble causes, with Iran able to get international aid for repairing itself after floods have devastated nearly two thirds of the region. These havoc causing floods from mid-March to April this year killed 78 people, displayed about 300,000 people and injured 1,137 people. The floods destroyed Iran’s infrastructure as well with the country’s roads, bridges, farm lands, power grids and water systems destroyed. Iranian people’s homes were ruined as well. Iran requires aid and relief to recover, rehabilitate and repair itself.

Here is where crypto and blockchain technology is helping, as IranRescueBit has made it possible for Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) to receive foreign aid from donors in the form of crypto.

US sanctions on Iran have blocked the foreign accounts of the Iranian Government and non-profit humanitarian aid organisation Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) even though during these humanitarian crisis situations international law makes an exception making a country non-sanctionable at this point of time. To allow for people from around the world to contribute funds, a bunch of locals belonging to the crypto and blockchain community created IranRescueBit that accepts foreign aid in the form of BTC, ETH and LTC.

The beauty of this initiative is that there is no Government’s hand in this(: good Samaritans like you can me can donate without fear anonymously!!!
What is more the donated funds will be visible to us public in IranRescueBit’s website, it’s completely transparent, additionally transactions are recorded in the ledges of the corresponding blockchain.

These crypto donations would be converted to Iranian Rial and put into Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS)’s account.

Really, this makes all crypto enthusiasts around the world happy and proud. Already we know Steemitian @crypto.piotr had an initiative where Steem currency were fundraised for Venuzulians when their local currency became worthless. Such news, drenches the heart with love while also bringing a smile on our faces. So, this is crypto love!!! , let’s spread it, and be proud that crypto is making the world a better place.

Crypto is powerful because of its borderless, permissionless character making them quite unique.

Please donate to help Iranian people, it would be used to rebuild homes, provide food, drinking water, blankets and rebuild homes of people. Let’s be nonpolitical, let’s be crypto angels spreading love, it would go a long way.
