It's like we try to find a balance with these things, but end up flipping from one extreme to another. With the rise of GLP1 drugs we have flipped from acceptance of obesity to desiring super skinny again.
When you think about what women's bodies are designed to do with growing life inside them, nurturing and raising children and often caring for others too, we cannot afford to be delicate. Weak, undernourished bodies don't cope with the stresses of life.
