I'm trying to envision how you could possibly use an e-scooter for criminal activity...
This morning police were engaged in an hour long high speed chase after a sweetie shop heist. The thief escaped on a private e-scooter and they have him and his get away driver in custody.
Heck, even South Australia allows e-scooters AND they ride them on the pavements! You can actually even ride a push bike on the pavement now, if you feel too at risk on the road and there is no dedicated cycle path. Used to be only kids could use them on the pavements. We have a scooter rental thing happening in the city centre and they're dotted all over the place. I think you scan your credit/debit card and off you go with the provided helmet (invested and contaminated with heaven knows what). You will get fined if you don't use a helmet and that goes for push bikes too.
