South Australia hasn't had the same levels of lockdowns as some places, so we've not had quite the same isolation as many. It was mostly the shutting down of the businesses and socialising that got hard after a while. We still aren't allowed to meet up as parents at our gymnastics club while they train, but we can meet at the local cafe, which you can't do too often, unless you want to be broke. So many of us sit in our cars outside while we wait and this has gone on for months, now.
We look on as Melbourne has some of the tightest restrictions going, though, and wonder if our own government will decide to follow suit. After all, now we're questioning the policies being put forward in Victoria, we're realising that they have already been put in place in South Australia without us realising. Our driver's licenses are already on a facial recognition database and police apparently don't need a warrant to enter your home. I guess this is why they didn't need to lock us down crazily for an excuse to apply these things.
