“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.”
― Oprah Winfrey
Contentment is the key to everything, unless we get satisfied with whatever is written for us, we can't find peace. Instead of complaining, we should be grateful, if it's less than our requirements then we gotta work hard, not regret. I don't see any harm in working hard to gain more as long as it's not causing harm to others and we don't lose our ethics.
Being content shouldn't mean getting stopped or feeling superior as there will be always someone in worse condition than us. Your title speaks the best of it, counting the losses is not what we should be doing, we gotta see the blessings and move on to work harder for our remaining needs, complaints are not going to ease anything rather they would be spoiling our attention and peace.
