I hope to follow in your lead on this and get my steempower up as well. I have been buying steem while the price is low. While doing this, I realized many exchanges have steem deposits and withdraws disabled and are still in maintenance-mode. I think that this is holding the price of steem down as buyers become impatient and sell, unable to withdraw from the exchange.

I wrote about this a bit on my blog and have since discovered additional exchanges that are affected. Binance, Bittrex, openledger are all in maintenance mode.
