Toward the end of the eighties my high school economics teacher asked us to research a career. I remember typing into the machine:
Somehow my career choice did not fit the school’s algorithm. The computer gave me pages of information about a career in journalism. I really couldn’t get that Beatles song out of my head.
Years later and changing my major several times I ended up teaching ESL. Actually I don’t teach ESL. I teach students. They come to me after class just to smile and say hi. I learn about their problems and after a few years of being with them they are more than students. An interesting thing happens with students you have for a few years. They turn they question around at you. A popular question is, “Teacher, what do you want to be?” Somehow they don’t the wrinkles on my face and receding hairline. They think I am their older brother. Well I think I’ve got it now. I really want to write a couple books.
When I was their age the process of getting a book published was sending a manuscript to a publisher and waiting and getting rejected and waiting again.
Today big companies still block up the publishing process but it has just gotten so much easier to self-publish. I don’t have many reasons left not to publish.
At first I thought about making Kimchee stories with Doogie but now I see more room to grow with kids stories.
Bunny stories have been around since Beatrix Potter but no one has ever seen a bunny like Belly Bunny. This my original^^
Little by little I will share some pictures here. When the pictures are done I will submit the whole package to Amazon.
This is just a quick sketch of what I think Belly Bunny will look like. I know my drawings and stories aren’t perfect but it’s time to bring them to life.
Enjoy
