"They Live" was a movie filmed during the Reagan era. Society keeps going in a circle of consumption and abuse until one person finds a pair of glasses that helps him to finally see. He tries to awaken others, but not without a fight.

A society asleep has been a thing since Plato's Republic. It only takes some gadfly's bite to wake some people up. Then society reacts by smashing the gadfly.

And the song goes on and on my friend. Some people starting singing it not knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever just because because... It's the song that never ends.

Only there will be an end.
