It was a challenge from the weekend engagement to write about a childhood memory. A have a lot of memories and most are put aside but when the snow fell on Saturday that memory of being in the igloo escaped and somehow got on my keyboard. That patio was the same place we had a barbeque in the summer but now it was covered with snow to the top. My dad was very young and playful. I had no idea how cool he was at the time. He went through a lot more than I am allowed to say. My brother and I really didn't understand him until decades later. Thankfully he is still alive and we can talk to him about it. Kids see more than adults but their understanding is limited. We didn't understand that our dad was great at the time.
