I am very familiar with Spanish and Latin but haven't read or heard much in Portuguese. Thank you for inviting me to read this. You were right, the Portuguese does feel better even though I'm not sure of all the words. I had to refer to the English.

The ending makes the most sense to me:

"Percorres a terra
Procurando um amigo?
E não vês quem era
Que sempre está contigo."

"Mesmo que penses reciclável,
Amor às pessoas queridas,
Tu te tornas responsável
Por aqueles que cativas."

Everyone may have a different meaning for this but for me it means to love the one you are with. I think we don't have to go looking all over the world for a friend. There are those who are close to us every day. They are the ones we are responsible for. In our relationships we show love and welcome them in their weaknesses and embrace them and build them up.

It is the ones closest to us that we easily overlook. They need a little extra care and support to build them up. The problem is we see them the best and we also see their weaknesses so it takes a decision to look deeper and sometimes overlook some faults to see who they really can be without oppressing them with pressure to become someone they are not. This is my life every day with family and with coteaching. It leaves me little space for other friends.
