A beautiful language culture and history belongs to Ukraine. For a few minutes I want to appreciate the sounds and sights of Ukraine. I pray this nation can enjoy peace and have a bright future without interference from Russia.

One of the best ways to know a country and its culture is to speak with the senior citizens there who survived years of history and changes in power yet they kept the language and traditions alive.

When I visited Ukraine it was these grandmas that moved my heart. They were strong and full of energy and always willing to share what they had especially the berries and jams. I loved them and they loved me. It has been fifteen years since I visited Ukraine but I remember the love and passion there.

Miklós Both is the founder of the Polyphony Project to keep the Ukrainian folklore tradition alive. He visited over 100 different villages in Ukraine and recorded 2000 songs. Here is some of his footage on Youtube.
