There was a time that a dollar a day passive income seemed like a dream. I mean really just passive income. I don't have to post or upvote or curate or create or follow or do any kind of special work and every day another dollar.
I don't have to put a ton of money in a special savings account that I can take out for a year. I don't have to use a Mata Mask wallet connect to Binance and verify my account with an ID and a recent picture. I don't have to show permanent residence or any other requirement. I just stack HBD in "Savings" in the Hive wallet. If I need the HBD out of savings then I can take it out in three days.
At first I started with a few HBD and each month stacked the interest. Now it is 1900 HBD and I am getting 31 HBD per month. That's a dollar a day that I don't have to think about. I can take care of my work and if I want to post something on Hive then I can also share the reward benefits. If I don't want to post anything my account still grows little by little. When I'm bored and tired I come back to hive and get some entertainment and financial advice. After making a few comments I find that my Hive Power grew up to 3000 HP. I remember when it was so difficult to get 500 HP, but 3000 HP was beyond my imagination.
At the same time Hive engine tokens are piling up. Even without posting the account grows and influence grows. There is nothing like this that I have seen in the world and I wonder if it is really a dream. I never put a dime of fiat into the account but have earned rewards from posts and have invested that crypto back. It has been a few years but the returns are real. The Hive or HBD can be exchanged or just kept and piled up for more returns.
I have known about this for a while and did the calculations but when I look at my own wallet and see an actual dollar a day without any initial investment but what I made on posts here on Hive I am really amazed. I had been pretty quiet about this and mostly post creative writing and stories but this is something I just noticed at the end of this month. It's not a lot of money but whether I sleep or work or go out these HBDs are adding up. I don't have to make a store for them or pay fees to a retailer or a host fee. The HBDs just make friends every day.
A dollar a day is not enough to live on, but I don't worry about it. If it is there then great. Whenever the price of crytpo drops I have pegged currency to use to buy more. It just seems like a win win situation. Let me know what you think of HBDs. They are starting to looking great in my eyes.
I used to listen to the Drifters when I worked the late shift in British Oil Company. I ran gas chromatography and sprayed bottles of nitrous oxide all night in the lab. They were then shipped off to japan to be used somewhere in the computer chip industry. That was thirty years ago now. I remember how hard it was to make a dollar. I'm not sure, but the day that it is much better to have one Hive than one dollar may come quicker than we expected.
