How many times have you wished that if you had the chance to go back in time you would have made the right choice? I don't know about you but it happens to me regularly.
Does it mean that I often make wrong decisions?
No it doesn't. It simply means that I wasn't risky enough when I should have been...or...that while I was expecting something "bad" to happen just because of my stubbornness, I did nothing to prevent it from happening...and a bunch of other examples that I am sure many of you can relate with.
I was raised with the "real opportunities come once...or maybe twice in a lifetime, so make sure you grab them" mentality. I still have regrets and blame my self for not being risky enough to collaborate with a businessman about a decade ago when he had the perfect business plan for a restaurant. And while I knew...I just knew that it would have been a success story, yet I hesitated...Eventually, in collaboration with another investor he managed to build...a chain of restaurants...and I was looking from distance my lost opportunity for financial success "waving"...
What does Steem have to do with that?
Believe it or not Steem has everything to do with it. You see, Steem for me is the second chance that I hadn't been given so far. Some of you might think it is ridiculous thinking and feeling that way about...a blockchain... yet for me it isn't. I think not many of you have realized the real life value it can bring. When I hear Steem my mind is sniping like a wo stroke engine.
I imagine all those daydreamers such as myself, building something really useful on top of Steem blockchain, so useful that the masses have no other option but to join us. It might take years before we even get close to that...maybe decades who knows really, but I love the fact that I am able to interact with people who share the shame mindset and express the true values of decentralization.
I even read about a village , completely autonomous, that is being built the other day...(Was on Trending page but can't find it...) where you can live off of steem. How awesome is that? Can you even imagine the possibilities?
I guess most of us have that very same look on our faces when..."this" or "that" CAN be done via steem. Exactly like our grand grand fathers...when they were told that "one day we will travel to the moon." Yet we DID travel to the moon and beyond...
When I buy Steem at 0.16$ and stake it exactly like I did today...again...(sorry can't help it) I imagine Steem at 10$...or at 20$...That's why I am so attached with every damn portion of Steem that I earn or buy. Price at the moment is nothing compared to what's coming next. We'll get there...I am sure we will.
Helping those who can build useful stuff for the rest of us by upvoting them is nothing compared to the benefits we will all enjoy one day.
So there...free your mind like I do, like a proper daydreamer does actually...just before the sun goes down.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter where you come from, or where you live at, if you are religious or not...if you are wealthy or poor. What does matter that you have a say in here...you are free...and you can be part of something great.
"We all go to the same moon"... remember?
