Social problems require detailed solutions: solutions people who define their self-lens by their political views (identity ideologues) on the left and the right do not have. This in part inferred due to the nature of their tribal-identity-leaning personality: my political views are me, my friends, and my life.
The assumption is that this type of personality is likely incapable of dealing with complexity. I assume this because their fear of complexity is what drives them to simple ideological solutions followed by tribal crowding around a collective; crowding around a collective means they prioritize acceptance over the brutal nature of complexity.
Complex solutions are not good for elections, however. And so people that lack sincerity on the left, middle, and right ignore that reality in order to get elected under the illusion the means justify the ends: when they never do.
