You ripped her
heart out and
smeared blood on her face.

She didn't let you
see the grappling
of emotions

She never
showed you
the finality dawning

You left a huge
gaping hole
across her back

She stitched it up with a
needle and whiskey

She saw it rip open again
when wings grew out

When alchemy
turned her into herself
When she
metamorphosed into me.
