I know.
I know,
your eyes are lost in a world,
far away from mine.
Somewhere,
where things are yours,
even though they aren't here.
Somewhere,
where palaces are made of glass,
which can't be broken,
because nothing there is made of stone.
Not even your heart.

So,
when you tell me,
that we have a parallel universe,
I wonder.

I wonder,
if mine was too similar to the real one.
With narrow spaces,
and light seeping in through
the bricks of the stone walls,
where your eyes played their magic,
and mine just played along.

So,
when you tell me,
that we have a parallel universe,
how do I believe you?
Because, mine is still not mine.
Because, as much as I tried to run away, I saw the same things in front of me.

Parallel universes do exist.
It's just that,
sometimes,
unlike parallel lines,
they meet with the real world.
And,
that's when,
I realise.
That, if our two worlds can meet,
then can't we.
