Love Expectations
We fall in love,
we fall out of love.
But the one thing that
never changes,
is what we expect from love.
We expect it to fathom
every possible heartbeat
and blink of the eye.
We expect it to read our minds
without us saying anything.
We expect love to go
out of the way,
to see that smile on our face.
We expect love to forget
their worries and take care of ours.
But that's not what
love is or what love can be.
Love is that every little thing
that you see everyday.
Love is the friendship
between two people.
Love is the knock on your
door at 2 in the night,
to talk about something.
Love is the satisfaction
you feel at the end of the day.
Love doesn't have to go out of
the way for you always.
Love is always there.
Sometimes in the form
of a hug, or a text.
And if it's not,
then learn to love yourself.
Because, it doesn't matter
if a lot of people love you or not.
What matters is if
you love yourself.
And that's the kind of love
you should know of.
Because nothing in this
world can make you stronger
than you loving yourself
for what you are.
