How?

ancient-1807518_1280.jpg

There is no respite
when border defines lives
and men in waistcoasts
decides to slaughter
peasant as scapegoats

And we blind ourselves to
scarred flesh reaching
through barbed wires
weary emotions tearing
through bleeding throats

You shun your own
perverting their homes
with your god damned designs
while extending a hand
to another usurper
across the lines

You impose unrelenting
sides in an uprising
for at the cusp of revolution
emerges not a cohesion
but edges with electric life.

There remain forsaken
a sigh of past life
abandoned and hallowed
with broken symbols
of strewn memories
reduced to head load.

You mortal gods
with your mortal hate
How will you explain
the love that transcends your
mortal ways.
