Hello friends of Hive, happy day, health and prosperity to all.
As a mother we face the greatest challenge of life, we become strong, responsible women and we discover what true love is after carrying in our womb for 9 months those little beings that come to change everything.
In addition, each experience is unique, because we are individual beings and each one has its own character from birth, although we gain experience along the way, there are always things that can happen to us with the second or third child and make us look like first-timers.
It may seem strange because most people assume that if we have more than one child, nothing can surprise us, this has already happened to me and I have heard "oh my god, it's not like it was your first child".
The Story
I explain all this to you because one day ago it happened to me with my three year old son, I did not hear exactly "you are not a first timer" but "all children fall down" and I felt upset and indignant at the time, perhaps because as a mother it hurts me more than anyone else that any of my children get hit.
I tell you what happened, my two year old son Dereck, is quite independent so much that he doesn't let me help him get dressed anymore, he does it by himself no matter what it costs him, the same with many other things including going to pee by himself, yesterday he tripped on the step to enter the bathroom and fell hitting his nose with the toilet.
He doesn't usually run a lot and is quite cautious for a child, so it was perhaps an unavoidable accident, when I carried him he was not breathing because of the pain and I didn't know where he had hit, he usually goes out of breath for a few seconds when he falls, but this time it happened more than usual and his skin color started to change to purple which made me desperate and a few seconds later he started to bleed from his nose and this made me panic.
I didn't know what to do, I just wanted him to breathe mainly, after about two more seconds he let go and cried and started to breathe normally and the first thing I did was ask him, where he got hit and he pointed to his nose, which gave me a big relief, because that was the reason why he was bleeding from his nose and not something worse.
Su cena favorita, para consentirlo un poco/ Your favorite dinner, to pamper you a little bit
Then the one who was in shock for a few seconds was me, I think that was while my soul returned to my body, I gave him an analgesic and carefully touched his nose to see how strong his pain was or if he had broken any bones, but he was fine, very scared like me but it had not been so serious.
We applied some ice to avoid inflammation and today he woke up fine, he looks a little green on the sides, but he is better than I thought he would look, it is almost not noticeable.
Now, this is the first time that one of my sons gets hit like that and stops breathing for so long, so I had no idea what to do, totally inexperienced in this kind of situations and seeing myself somehow pointed out, "listening to people telling me it was not that bad, it is normal for children to fall down" made me think that people sometimes assume that as a mother, we are prepared for everything or else we are very dramatic mothers, or the worst of all, boys have to take their blows because they are boys.
Así amaneció hoy /This is how it dawned today
Clearly all children bump and fall, that is part of their development and learning but I think there is a difference between a common fall and an accident that can cause serious damage and that both cannot be taken lightly in the same way.
I would like to know your opinions on the subject. See you soon.
