• The challenge is time-sensitive
• There are other time limits involved

... So approving the entries that fulfill all the guidelines need to be done in a jiffy, to afford adequate time to read entries and do other necessary thorough checks.

In other words, we ain't got the whole fucking day to sit around going back and forth asking authors to correct their shit.

On this occasion we will accept your story since you left the note, for a great effort, and because your story was so fucking good:)
