It's great that you recognized your grandmother's virtues from a young age and appreciated the quality time she made for you. it's also remarkable that your family also appreciated your choices of creating memories instead of material things. It's sad to hear that she lost some of those memories in the end, but it sounds to me that she lived a true and fulfilling life of minimalism and that she was truly happy and inflected happiness onto others:)
