In the UK, some people turn their noses up at Aldi and go shop at places like Waitrose that sell the same product from the same manufacturer. That I just don't get.
Aldi and Lidl have evolved. When I first started shopping at them over 16 years ago in the Netherlands, Aldi especially was like a big warehouse, and everyone grabbed empty boxes from shelves to pack their groceries. Those were the days when only these two supermarkets did not offer carrier bags:)
