Of desensitised souls and vulnerable feelings ,
I fail to register and find a meaning ,
Of how cold I could've been to her ,
How lack of expression translates into varied interpretations ,
But oh love ! If only I could show love ,
How you've meant the world to me ,
But alas , one must pay lonesome as the price ,
And to the world around act and play nice ,
For if words could , then words wouldn't suffice .
