The Lipizzaners are elegant white horse, that are born black/grey, and only with maturity get the magnificent white coat. Lipica farm stud (Slovenia) is the largest Lipizzaner stud farm in the world. It is one of the most popular Slovenian tourist attractions. There are many activities that you can try, from the stud tour to horse performance, horse riding or you can familiarize with horses, take a carriage ride, etc.
My favourite “attraction” is definitely the “release” of the cradle to the pastures and meadows in the mornings or their return to the farm in the late afternoon. I can not describe the feeling when these elegant animals pass you by with their energic and mighty gallop.
I’ve visited the farm on many occasions but this year I’ve tried the carriage ride around the estate and is something that you should do while visiting the stud farm. Nice and easy ride, interesting for kids and adults. Just remember to wear some warm cloths if you will be visiting the stud in the cooler months.
