Hello Hivers, today we'll travel a little bit underground,.... Postojna cave is the largest underground cave system in Europe. Mysterious and magnificent underground world of stalactites and stalagmites can be visited all year round. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Slovenia can be visited on a guided tour that last 1,5 hours. Part of the visit is done by foot part with small electric train.
During Christmas time, the caves become even more magical. Special visits are organised in selected days of December. The cave is illuminated with coloured lights and effects, that brings the limestone natural sculptures to life.
Pay special attention to all details and you will see ˝angles˝ hiding between the stones. I’ve visited the caves in various occasion but this ˝Christmas edition˝ is really special. Live Nativity scenes with actors, musicians and singers are unique experience during Christmas holidays in Slovenia.
