The dictionary uses several forms to describe the word devotion. Among them "love, religious fervor, pious practice, inclination, special fondness and good and devout custom". Now, on the basis that the Scriptures encourage us to strive for godliness (1 Timothy 4: 7), they also encourage us to turn aside for prayer (Matthew 6: 6), to pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17) read and meditate on the Scriptures (Psalms 1: 2)

In this way we conclude that devotional is the pious discipline that is part of the life, support and spiritual growth of the believer. This exercise includes prayer, reading and meditation on the word that Christians should practice regularly.
The way we have to relate to God is prayer. To develop this important habit, we must dedicate each day a time to it, alone and in intimacy with God, which is called devotional.
This is a time in which we can express to Him what is in our heart and where He will reveal His will and demonstrate His great love for us.
For your devotional to be effective, we suggest:
1.- Define the time and duration of your devotional.
2.- Have privacy.
3.- Get into the habit of doing it in the morning, before starting your daily activities.
4.- Be honest with yourself and with God.
5.- Have your Bible at hand, as well as a notebook and write what God speaks to you through your word.
6.- Have a list of the prayers you will present to the prayer.
I challenge you to restore your communion with the presence of God and if you can not call it your father today accept Jesus as your only savior and sara from today your father.
