The Bible contains the holy word of God which was written by men inspired by God to bring the truth to the world about God's deity and his love for humanity.
God used great prophets so that man would repent of his wrongdoing and seek the way of salvation and also to announce the son of God Jesus Christ who would bring freedom to the world.
In ancient times there was a lot of evil man had completely spilled himself giving himself up to lasciviousness and all kinds of corruption and evil adhering to a false law of those times that they pretended to fulfill.
And in these circumstances Jesus appears the son of God on stage in the world to bring peace and give man a true freedom because He came to free the captive to heal the sick and the oppressed came to free the prisoners and give sight to the blind
In this case I am going to refer to a woman that Jesus releases from seven demons.
Maria Magdalena was an oppressed woman like many whipped by seven demons who had her submerged in sin allowing in her life all kinds of filth but one day she says the word of God that she had an encounter with Jesus one day that she was going through the cities and villages preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God along with his twelve disciples and He having mercy on his bond made her free.

2 and some women who had been healed of evil spirits and diseases: Mary, whose name was Magdalene, from which seven demons had emerged,

This woman lived tormented living a life of torment and slavery since these demons had her at their mercy but when Jesus looked at her he had compassion on her and freed her.
Today's world scene is similar to the past and today the world is involved in its crimes and sins and people tormented by demons.
Jesus did it yesterday and does it again today. He can deliver you from any slavery and make you a new person.
