Yet another episode of shadow hunting.

This week I explored shadow hunting during daytime under the sunlight. Morning and evening times are good for me to capture shadows because of the angle of the sun rays.

Last time I captured the shadows of a ceiling fan, this week I am more interested in a hand fan made up of plastic.

This hand fan is very handy during summer, particularly during power cuts and if you dont have an inverter back up.

As my state is below the Tropic of Cancer and that too a coastal state, here the climate remains sticky most of the time during summer. So creating a breeze using a hand fan is the last resort for the poor in rural areas.

I captured these shadow photos at 8 AM. And I took all these shots inside the roof as the Sun rays hit the wall, piercing through the window.

The wall is painted with a light pink color, so that is giving an ideal background for these shadow photos. With a light background, the shadow photos rise into prominence. And keeping the object close to the wall gives a solid outline of the shadows.

A circular object can also produce an elliptical outline in shadows, it's pure mathematics. All depends on the angle of inclination.

Shadows and reflections have philosophical as well as mathematical connotations. It juxtaposes light and darkness. So the artistic tenor of shadows has so much to whisper to the creative mind of a photographer.
