More than a teacher, I think a guide is needed. Someone that not just teach, but someone who knows the way and shows the way.
Their background should not compulsorily be from church or other institutions, in my opinion. They should be people that underwent a path far before us and have reached higher level of awareness. That is something that is really working for me
