In the recent period, me and Mary have been working a lot on nice and promising projects and therefore we decided to take a dinner out on Saturday evening.

Yes, we are not really inclined to eat often out as we like the easiness of our home BUT eating something different is something that we appreciate a lot! There is another reason why we do not often eat out and I think I will dedicate an article on the topic! It’s related to the compound interest.

This pizzeria is called "Pandòr" that is a local way to say "Golden Bread".

Usually our favorite places to go eating outside are pizzerias and ethnic restaurants, like the Syrian, Indian and Japanese.

A few weeks ago a new pizzeria opened up here in Modena and we read great feedback on it and on the pizza-chef, that is from Naples, the most famous city in Italy for pizza.

Neapolitan pizza is different from the others: it has a very thin layer of dough under the toppings and a very high and “pumped” edge.

We decided to start with a sea-salad, as the same owners of the pizza shop are the owners of a great fish-restaurant, that’s in the same courtyard. Here is the Fish-Restaurant, called “Il Pesciaio”

Where they also smoke the salmon in-house!

And here was our starter sea-salad that we shared

I chose some time ago to stop eating meat and therefore when I hang out I always go with meat-free dishes and I opted for a Vegetarian pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, zucchini, cherry tomato confit and olives.

Here it was me adding a decent amount of spicy 🌶️ olive oil 😋

While Mary went for the Seafood-pizza, with a tomato base, no mozzarella and some sea-fruits like dormouse and squids. Here are the two pizzas (and Mary :D)

In the end we did not go for the dessert as there were not home-made, that made us going for an artisan ice-scream in the center of Modena, where we were headed to spend some time at Lambruscheria, a local wine shop owned and managed by our friends Alessio, that is always a nice and funny time spent with him!
