adding an acid to hydrogen peroxide will amplify its oxidizing power dramatically.
On its own, hydrogen peroxide can't really cause any serious damage. If you mix it with an acid, however, it is able to dissolve aluminum, zinc, iron, nickel, tin, lead, iron, and copper.
Even vinegar and 3% hydrogen peroxide will dissolve most metals. This combination is one you should be careful with, as it will etch nearly anything with which it comes in contact.
In the chemistry lab, a more serious variation of this is occasionally made, called “piranha solution" or “piranha etch.” Made from 3 parts concentrated sulfuric acid to 1 part 30% hydrogen peroxide, it's used to dissolve organic residues from appropriate substrates.
