Bacillus Subtilis (DE111)
(Natto P223 HU58 DE111)

Bacillus Subtilis Boosts IgA Immunoglobulin-A Production & Blocks Virus Replication Cycle

COVID-19 attacks a type of cell called the type II pneumocyte whose primary responsibility is to make surfactin, a detergent-like substance that allows the lung’s air sacs to overcome the surface tension that would otherwise prevent them from not opening.

Low surfactin levels can cause respiratory demise. The virus gains access to the type II pneumocytes through ACE2 receptors in the lungs & other tissue.

This point is essential: the loss of surfactin doesn’t produce a linear adverse response—a slight decrease in its production, The respiratory collapse occurs much more readily in older individuals ( >75) who have co-morbid diseases.

Surfactin, one of the most powerful biosurfactants, is a lipopeptide-type biosurfactant that is generated by the gram-positive, endospore-producing, microorganism, Bacillus subtilis.

Bacillus subtilis is a probiotic with excellent anti-microorganism properties and one of its secretions, surfactin, has been regarded as a versatile weapon for most plant pathogens, especially for the enveloped virus. We demonstrate for the first time that B. subtilis OKB105 and its surfactin can effectively inhibit animal coronavirus.

The aconitase protein of Bacillus subtilis was able to bind specifically to sequences resembling the iron response elements (IREs) found in eukaryotic mRNAs.
