I don't have an answer for you on this one, but I do see your point. Like @nathanmars says, there are people who choose to work on development and stay out of the marketing side, that is their choice, and there is no doubt they still provide a valuable service to the chain. Hive would not be where it is today without the work of
@blocktrades but they are busy doing development, and that is what I would want them to work on.
The bottom line is that be it Steem or Hive, marketing has never really been our strong suit. The name Steem was being laughed at in Crypto Twitter and most of those influencers do not take us seriously. We have to find a way to change that perception.
Maybe you could put together a proposal to use some of the Hive Development Pool to hire a real Crypto Marketing Firm to put our community back on the map. We can't rely on individuals to do it for us. Everyone expects someone else to do it.
