Powering Down and Some Delegations Removed

Since the Blockchain is transparent, I figure it doesn't suck to give some explanation for things anyone can see.

Over the weekend I opted to start powering down some of my Steem Power. This is not a reflection of a lack of belief that Steem is still a worthwhile platform (though there are some doubts based on the content in my feed lately), but more of a need to balance my portfolio better.

Steem was my first legit Crypto Purchase, and will continue to be the largest holding in my portfolio, but currently Steem accounts for over 1/3 of my total portfolio value. That is just too much exposure for my liking.

So I have begun powering down some Steem, it will likely mostly stay liquid in my wallet ready to deploy when the price is right. What I am powering down will end up equating to roughly the same amount as my initial fiat investment in the system. I intend to leave myself with about 1500 SP, most of which will continue to be delegated to @thefreshfive.

As a part of this process, I have made the decision to undelegate from @r-bot. This in no way is a reflection of r-bot or the work they are doing to curate the platform, but is rather just a matter of need to consolidate my SP back to my own account at this point. My apologies to @carlgnash and @humanbot and all of the R-bot curators for removing the delegation without notice.

I have also undelegated the Steem Power which was given out as part of the Fresh Five Curation Rewards initiative. These delegations had been meant to be for 3 weeks, and I had let them lapse a bit longer, but went in and cleaned things up tonight. I'm not sure if I will be able to revisit this particular initiative. It's another project I feel like I just don't have the time to do properly at this time.
