As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I just ordered a bunch of new silver from Monument Metals and Apmex. I placed the orders late Wednesday. On Thursday morning I received a notice that the Monument Metals order had shipped.
At 3am Friday morning I received the following message from Apmex:
What's impressive about this is, I had no specific expectations regarding the shipping time of these rounds. Apmex proactively decided that since they did not ship in a timely fashion, they were going to give me a discount.
Even better, Right about noon today I received another message from Apmex, this time informing me that my order had shipped. USPS Tracking estimates that the order will arrive on Monday. Coincidentally, that's the same day that my order from Monument Metals is expected to arrive.
Too bad the Postal Service around here delivers around 1pm. I have to get on a plain at 10am headed to Milwaukee for a Sales Conference, so will not see my new silver until I get back home on Thursday night.
I know everyone has their favorites when it comes to go to online retailers for Silver, but I just wanted to commend Apmex for the proactive customer service. I am sure I can find $100 worth of new silver I want between now and January 1 so I can use my coupon code!
How have you found the customer service with the retailers you deal with? Are they proactive? Or do you have to call attention to problems in order to get a worthwhile resolution?
