It has been a long time coming for Cleveland Brown fans but after 635 days since the Browns last win they ended that drought on Thursday night. The Browns had already started this season off better than last year with a tie against the Steelers in week one and a game that they should have won against New Orleans on the road but kicker Zane Gonzales missed two extra point attempts and two field goals. Although Cleveland finally broke through for there first win in almost two years it was much more than just a win. At the end of the first half starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor went out of the game with a concussion. In replacement rookie quarterback and 2018 number one overall pick Baker Mayfield took over under center and he gave life to the city of Cleveland that was not there with Tyrod Taylor. Mayfield finished the game 17 for 23 passing 201 yards and a quarterback rating of 100.1 with no turnovers. Cleveland has not been this excited about a player since the Cavs drafted Lebron back in 2003. Mayfield brought life to the stadium and led them back from down 14 to 3 to wind up winning 21-17. Regardless of how this season plays out for the Browns they have a very bright future with a young talented defense, playmakers on offense, and a young quarterback who brings hope.
