Due to suspicions of manipulation of harmful emissions from diesel engines, prosecution and police in Stuttgart, Germany searched the buildings of the manufacturer of sports cars and SUVs. For the time being, authorities have reported three accused, one of whom is a member of Porsche AG's management. The company said the reviewers had reviewed and seized documents.
The inspection involved 30 prosecutors from Stuttgart and 3 colleagues from Munich, as well as 160 police officers from the two federal provinces.
Evidence has been sought in connection with a lawsuit running for some time, the Stuttgart Prosecutor's Office said. The manufacturer of sports cars and SUVs in Stuttgart has already been inspected for the Volkswagen concern with the exhaust gas affair.
