I continue showing the evaluation process that took place this week in a Cooking School here in the city where I live. I was a judge in the final dish of two students and here I show you the work of the second student.
His work focused more on meats and with a more elaborate plating. We can see, for example, that he offered lajas de muchacho redondo for the first course or appetizer, which is a meat widely used for different preparations. In this case, he combined it with a bed of vegetables, caper and onion topping, and cashews. I must say that the meat was somewhat dry, we suggest you practice a little more.
For the Main Dish, he offered Tenderloin Medallions cooked in chimichurri butter, accompanied by roasted vegetables, with candied tomato sauce and a crystal type potato as a topping. I must say that this dish was more than excellent, it was perfect as well as beautiful.
And for Dessert, he offered a Baklava, which is a traditional Arab dessert but this time accompanied by vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately, the filo pastry was very hard and the dessert could not be better appreciated even though the flavor was wonderful.
I was very pleased by this experience since the replacement generation is trying to excel and give their best despite the economic situation of the country. I am very happy with the results and I know that my country will have a positive gastronomic future.
Les mando un abrazo fuerte.
