I'm currently on a little stay-cation with my family for my wife's birthday. We got an airbnb for this cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere. There's a creek right outside that I almost ate it big time in today. Lesson learned, do not try to walk in a creek with flip flops on. I had to sacrifice my flip flops to the creek spirit because when I realized flip flops were a no no, I was in the middle of the creek after barely managing to keep my balance and one was gone already.
Falling would have been bad because I had my DSLR camera, my phone, and my 1 year old. The order that I listed those has no bearing on their priority :p
Anyway, once I safely made my way back to the shore we had a visitor drop by to take a drink at the creek. I was hurrying to try and get some shots so I didn't really adjust the exposure correctly. Although I did shoot these raw so I was able to salvage everything but the highlights that ended up getting lost.
Used Photoshop after the original adjustments in Lightroom to make the overexposed bits look glowy to kind of blend the blown out bits with the rest of the image. The internet here sucks and I have zero reception on my phone, but I'll try to take some cool pics and I'm hoping to get a painting in one of these days. It's a bit hard to get away for a couple hours with little ones running around though so I might just settle for photos. Hope you like! See you all in the next post.
