This book series is one of my all time favorites, although it might be heavily based in nostalgia seeing as it was really the first fantasy series I ever read and got me into the genre. That said, with those expectations, this series was a crime compared to the books IMO. Richard is young, but he's supposed to be a badass. They also made it sort of campy and the source material is more serious and gritty. I really hoped someone else would redo it and do it justice.
