I don't see it that way. We're not split up between creators and curators. Everyone is both, or at least should be.

I don't think everyone needs to power up everything, but I think people should have a balance, and curation is important for the health of the platform, so I don't really feel all that sorry for any creator that doesn't also want to invest some into the platform and spend time and energy helping with distribution.

I think the incentive will be for people to balance authoring and curating and I personally see that as a positive. We'll see how it plays out though.
