Good morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I would love to share a part of the scriptures today with you (Romans 5:6-8) concerning the greatest sacrifice know to human history.
It says
For when we where still helpless, Christ died for the wicked at the time that God chose. (verse 7) it is a difficult thing for someone to die for a righteous person. It may even be that someone might dare to die for a good person. (verse 8) but God has shown us how much he loves us! It was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us.
There is something I would love us to take note of in verse 6 is the "at the time that God chose".
This teaches us that God's time is the best. We should not always be disappointed when we pray and it seems like it wasn't answered, we should simply just tell ourselves that God's time is the best.
Verse 7 my friends is one that tests our will. Many of us may say we can die for the gospel, but we don't realize the magnitude of that statement until we are faced with such reality.
At this point let us pray for Christians all over the world under going persecution, that God will give them the strength to go on, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lastly, verse 8 teaches us not to do good to only those that we know, and not to only good people. For if our heavenly Father can make his rain to fall on both the good and the wicked how much more we mortal beings. Remember that it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us.
I pray that these words shall bear fruits in our lives through Christ our Lord. Amen
