Just looking at the stats on the Silverblade Fighter, I feel like at level 3 it comes into its own as it has void armour meaning even magic users will have to take down the shield first before attacking the life points ( 6 Armour + 6 Health = 12 Hit points). You also gain 2 melee attack at this level and have 3 speed, that is not bad at all.
