So, to draw our orca we'll start with this twisty oval type shape. Things are easier to draw when you break them down into simple shapes. Sketch a line along the middle of the oval to make a mid line for the orca's body.
Next we add the fins, these too are kind of oval blob shapes. The one for the tail should be shaped more like a boomerang.
Don't worry if your shapes aren't exactly as mine are. In art everybody has a different eye. It also helps to draw off a reference but this is kind of cartoon style so we'll just do it imaginary.
Use a ruler to draw a vertical line from where the bottom dorsal fin of the whale starts at the body to intersect the midline. A little above there is where we will put the eye.
Add the details on the body, again every orca has different markings. Feel free to experiment π³
Continue detailing and erasing construction lines and you are done with pencilling the line work.
For added effect grab a marker and trace your drawing. Color in with black and you are done...!
I hope you enjoyed this drawing session. Feel free to comment, Steem on! π―ππ
