This was a very special Saturday in many ways, and the most important one was being able to take part in a charity party for underprivileged children here in my city. A friend took the initiative to organize this event at a country property owned by some people he knows, and we brought toys, a bouncy castle, and all kinds of delicious food you can imagine.
The weather wasn't really on our side at first because of heavy rain, but since we remained hopeful, the sun eventually came out and everyone was able to enjoy the swimming pool. Actually, even while it was raining, the children were already having fun, playing soccer on the grass and getting completely covered in mud. It was so wonderful to see that! I wish I could experience that same childlike excitement again. People think these children have very little, but they are rich in so many ways.
I brought my drone to capture the moment and also get a better look at the place where we were. I'll share more photos of the scenery another time, but today I really wanted to share a little bit of this party, this act of kindness, and show how privileged we are and how much we have. When we look at such innocent souls, who don't even understand the struggles they are going through, we should feel ashamed of complaining about our own lives. I came away with more than just photos. I brought home a lesson for all of us. That was what I took with me from this place today, after an afternoon filled with joy.
Esse foi um sábado bem especial em vários sentidos, e o principal deles foi poder fazer parte de uma festa beneficente para crianças carentes aqui da minha cidade. Um amigo teve a iniciativa de organizar essa festa em uma granja de pessoas próximas, e levamos brinquedos, pula-pula e todo tipo de comida gostosa que vocês possam imaginar.
O dia, na verdade, não estava colaborando muito no início, devido a uma forte chuva, mas, como estávamos esperançosos, o sol apareceu para que todos pudessem entrar na piscina. Na verdade, mesmo na chuva, as crianças já estavam se divertindo, jogando bola na grama e se sujando todas na lama. Como foi bom poder ver aquilo! Como eu queria voltar a ter essa empolgação de criança. As pessoas acham que elas possuem pouco, mas são ricas em vários sentidos.
Levei meu drone para poder registrar o momento e conhecer um pouco mais do lugar onde estávamos também. Em outra hora, vou postar mais fotos da paisagem, mas, por hoje, gostaria mesmo é de compartilhar um pouco dessa festa, desse ato solidário, e mostrar como somos tão privilegiados e temos tanto. Quando olhamos para seres tão puros, que nem sabem a luta que estão vivendo, deveríamos ficar com vergonha de reclamar de nossas vidas. Além de fotos, trouxe uma lição para todos nós. Foi isso que levei desse lugar no dia de hoje, nessa tarde de alegria.
